BEWDLEY Town have appointed a new management team as they look to escape the lower reaches of the Midland Football League Premier.
Chris Cornes (pictured) and Ryan Rowe have joined the club after formerly being in charge at Worcester Raiders until October last year. Phil Mullen will take on the role of general manager and coach Wayne Payton and goalkeeping coach Darren Steadman will stay on to work with Cornes and Rowe. Paul Davies will be stepping down from his coaching duties at the club and the new managers will be in charge for the home game with Racing Club Warwick on Saturday. THE two division one games last night (Tuesday) at Ashby Ivanhoe and Dudley Sports were postponed.
There was JW Hunt Cup action where Boldmere St Michaels thrashed Wrens Nest, 10-0 helped by five goals from Niall Rooney. Lye Town beat Shifnal Town 4-1 away with goals from Harrison Cook, Adam Garmson, Oliver West and Ben Billingham. Tonight's action in division one sees Bilston Town at home to Cradley Town. In the Walsall Senior Cup, Lichfield City are at home to Walsall Wood and Worcestershire Senior Cup action sees Worcester City at home to Evesham United. |
