THE issue of who is the champions of the premier and division one might be resolved but at the bottom of both leagues, the issue is far from over.
In the premier, Bewdley Town or Wolverhampton Casuals could go down with already relegated Haughmond., with Town travelling to AFC Wulfrunians and Casuals at home to Stourport Swifts. In the first division, Dudley Sports and effectively Shawbury are down but eith AFC Bridgnorth or Cradley Town could join them with two games to go. AFC Bridgnorth are at home to Khalsa Football Federation and Cradley travel to Coventry Copsewood. HANLEY TOWN are the Midland Football League Premier champions after clinching the title on Monday with a 2-1 home win over Boldmere St Michaels who are guaranteed to finish second and get a play off spot.
Chris Dagnall and Louis Dodds got the goals for Hanley, with the home side eight points clear of Boldmere with just one game to go. It's still all to play for to avoid bottom position, Bewdley Town winning 1-0 at Haughmond, Dylan Hart on target with a second half penalty for the Worcestershire side. Haughmond are two points behind Bewdley but with a better goal difference and have a home game in their last fixture next Saturday, where Bewdley travel to AFC Wulfrunians. Worcester will be Haughmond's opponents and they beat Uttoxeter Town 5-0 on Monday with Demetri Brown, Archie Muirhead, Aaron Roberts, Reiss Taylor-Randle and an own goal accounting for the visitors Shifnal Town finished off their home programme well with a 3-0 win over Tividale with gaols from Brandon Tanomjit, Tom Hill and Sam Griffiths.
