RUNCORN Town missed the chance to go top of the table as they lost 3-2 at home to AFC Wolverhampton City.
With top two Winsford United and Abbey Hulton United not in league action, victory would have seen the Cheshire side rise to the top but they found themselves behind to a curling effort from Logan Trainer after 19 minutes.
Macara McNulty-Hartnett added a second on 27 minutes after being played in by Jay Holdcroft before the visitors responded through Charlie Harland.
A debut effort from Aidan McCann just after the hour extended the lead and although Harland netting a second for Runcorn, it wasn’t enough to turn the game.
Second half goals from Jake Avery and Reuben Kenn gave struggling Uttoxeter Town a 2-0 win at Dudley Town while a goal from Collins Kagame a minute before half-time was enough to edge Wythenshawe Town to a 1-0 win at home to Sporting Khalsa.
The other Premier Division game saw Whitchurch Alport win 3-1 at Stone Old Alleynians. Early goals from Cole Griffin and Ollie Holden, the second from the penalty spot, handed the visitors a two-goal cushion at the break with Holden adding a third early in the second period. Will Bailey hit Stone’s consolation.

The big talking point in Division One was Coalville Town’s 8-0 victory over a shell-shocked Cradley Town side. Billy Loomes, Ryan Seal and Ronnie Morley all bagged doubles with the others coming from George Hockey and Ryan Sahota.
Coventry Copsewood were also among the goals, running out 4-0 victors at Kirby Muxloe where Sean Kavanagh and Eslam Faied scored two apiece.
Leicester St Andrews climbed to fourth – one place and a point behind Coalville – following their 2-0 defeat on Anstey Town where Zak Adams and Corey Bucalossi scored late on.
It was the same scoreline for FCV Grace Dieu at Lutterworth Athletic where two goals in three minutes from Jerrell Sellars and Sean Tomlinson wrapped up the points while Stapenhill were also 2-0 winners at home to Birmingham OJM.
Efforts from Jude Coates, Archie Gallagher and Archie Hill steered AFC North Kilworth to a 3-2 win at Chelmsley Town for whom Ethan Richardson netted both while Holwell Sports were 3-1 winners at Bustleholme – Benny Omorogbe, Brooke Isherwood and Josh Smith for the visitors and Reece Lawton for the hosts.
The game between Ingles and Saffron Dynamo finished 1-1 after Matty L’Anson’s goal for the visitors was cancelled out three minutes from time by Lee Cranstone.
