WHITCHURCH Alport are in Monday's draw for the fifth round of the FA Vase after a 2-1 win over Congleton Town
Dan Skelton and Jack Griffiths gave them a two goal cushion at half time before Ethan Hartshorn reduced the deficit with ten minutes to go. AFC Wulfrunians went above Worcester City in the premier division with a 3-1 win in front of 175 at the CKW Stadium. Ty Knight, Aaron Bishop and Tom Poole were on target for Wulfunians, with an own goal from Ashley Jackson on 75 City's only reply. Hanley Town march on at the top, Aaron Cole and Louis Dodds on target in a 2-0 win against Romulus whilst Lichfield City could only draw 1-1 at Wolverhampton Casuals, Dan Lomas their scorer after the home side's Matt Bestall had opened the scoring. It was a late-late show at Stourport Swifts in their game at home to Stone Old Alleynians where the crowd hat to wait until added on time to see any goal action. Stourport took the lead on 93 minutes through Martin Slevin and Jack Tomlinson equalised for Stone on 95 minutes to make the score 1-1. In division one Cradley Town got their second win in a week 1-0 at Nuneaton Griff whilst Stapenhill slipped up at home, losing 2-1 to Bilston Town Community Jake Healey and Adam Garmson on target for the Stelemen. Dudley Town took advantage to go second on points after drawing 2-2 at Paget Rangers, Matty Gardner scoring on his debut but also missing a penalty for the Robins. WHITCHURCH Alport carry the hopes of the Midland Football League into tomorrow's FA Vase fourth round Walsall Wood's trip to Wroxham has been postponed with Wood having been dramatically removed from the competition this week for playing a suspended player, a decision they have decided not to appeal. Alport entertain Congleton Town on Saturday in the last 32 tage of the competition, with a large crowd expected at Yockings Park. In the Midland League Premier Division, fifth-placed AFC Wulfrunians could leap above visiting Worcester City if they win whilst Lye Town – winners over Wulfrunians last weekend and Shifnal in the week - travel to Boldmere St Michaels. Boldmere will be hoping to close the gap on runaway leaders Hanley Town the latter slip up at home to Romulus Bewdley Town – under the new management of Chris Cornes and Ryan Rowe – are at home to Racing Club Warwick, while Stourport Swifts take on Stone Old Alleynians and Wolverhampton Casuals host Lichfield City Cradley Town will be hoping to build on a 3-2 victory at Bilston Town Community in midweek when they visit Nuneaton Griff in Midland One. Bilston are at second-placed Stapenhill whtilst Dudley Town who are third on goal difference travel to Paget Rangers.
