rWALSALL WOOD plan to appeal against a decision which has seen them thrown out of this season's FA Vase competition
Wood were due to travel to Norfolk tomorrow (Saturday) to take on Wroxham of the Eastern Counties League in the fourth round but were informed by the FA yesterday they have been removed for allegedly playing a suspended player. The decision is subject to appeal, and the club have cofirmed they are taking legal advice as they were told the player concerned was only suspended from county FA football, not national competitions. They say they will not make any further comment until the next step is decided. WEDNESFIELD FC have announced a trio of signings as they look to make a charge into the top six of the first division. Zac Brown, Shaquille Lee and Ben Perks have all joined the Cottagers. Brown, a forward, has joined from Khalsa Football Federation and Lee re-joins the club from AFC Bentley having captained Wednesfield in the 2017-18 season. Defender Ben Perks captained Shifnal Town to three trophies last season and also has step six experience at Wolverhampton Sporting Community. All three will be available for the game at Chelmsley Town on Saturday. Below (L-R): Ben Perks, Zac Brown and Shaquille Lee |
