A Leighton McMenemy winner two minutes from time gave them the win in a thriller. Chandler Pegg had given Lichfield the lead only to see Tividale equalise through Jason Wood. Sam Fitzgerald restored City's lead just after the break before Joe Burrows thought he had earned the home side a point on 86 but McMenemy's intervention proved decisive. City can no longer win the title but can catch Boldmere who they trail by eight points with three games left. Lye Town moved up from tenth to sixth with a 3-1 home win over Whitchurch Alport. Two goals from Jay Holdcroft and one from Jordan Davies did the damage, Kielahn Annikey replying for the Shropshire side. In division one, Ashby Ivanhoe claimed a point on promotion rivals Stapenhill in a 1-1 draw with Atherstone Town. |
