Hat-tricks inspired two comebacks in Capelli Sport MFL One on Saturday with Conor Jackson and Billy Loomes claiming trebles.
Jackson led Birstall United’s recovery from two down to win 4-2 at home to GNG Oadby Town, bringing his side back into it just before half-time with a timely response to Tom Vyce and Karum Shankar netting for the visitors.
Jack Astill equalised with two more in a 10-minute spell just after the hour from Jackson completing the fightback.
Loomes was on target midway through the first half, just shy of the hour and later in the second half as Coalville Town won 4-1 at Holwell Sports.
The home side had led within 10 minutes through Gideon Neto. Zac Smithson rounded things off for the Ravens in added time.
Cradley Town enjoyed quite the turnaround to beat Stapenhill 4-2.
Cameron Steele and player-boss Louis Briscoe had the Swans two to the good but Kane Harrold quickly responded with Cameron Milne’s 65th-minute penalty levelling it and Callum North giving Cradley the lead a minute later. North made sure of the points with his second five minutes from time.
Ingles won 3-2 at home to Bustleholme despite having a two-goal lead wiped out.
Charlie Yates and Bradley Coleman saw Ingles seize the initiative only for Lewis Smith and Anton Nesbeth to turn things around early in the second half.
But no sooner had Bustleholme levelled, Jack Allen gave Ingles the lead again on the hour and that was how it stayed.
Traevay Wright levelled on the stroke of half-time as leaders Gornal Athletic shared a 1-1 draw with Lutterworth Athletic in a top-of-the-table clash. Alex Vineall gave on-song Atho a 17th-minute lead.
That draw allowed Heather St John’s to move up to second with a 2-0 win over high-flying Northfield Town, hotshot Kyle Jardine scoring at either end of the second half for a Saints side that is unbeaten in the league since the opening day.
Zak Adams and Sam Hollis netted in the opening nine minutes as Leicester St Andrew’s chalked up a seventh straight league victory. Corey Bucalossi and a second from Adams wrapped up a 4-0 triumph at Boldmere Rangers.
Micah Lawrence’s goal midway through the first half saw Anstey Town end an eight-match winless league run, seeing off Saffron Dynamo 1-0.
Archie Gallagher and Dom Lanni struck as AFC North Kilworth overturned a deficit to beat Coventry Copsewood 2-1. The visitors had led through Leland Yates.
FCV Grace Dieu ended a five-match winless run, Kylano Isaac and Zhani Burgess on target early in the second half to see off Chelmsley Town 2-0, while early goals in each half from Louie Newbold and Muhammad Suleman ensured Birmingham OJM trumped Kirby Muxloe 2-0.
