Ten-man Lutterworth Athletic chalked up a fourth Capelli Sport MFL One win on the bounce by seeing off fellow high-fliers Birstall United 3-0.
All of the goals came in the second half and after the 36th-minute sending off of Caleb Yeboah and Birstall hitting the crossbar through Reece Lefley early in the second period.
It proved costly for United with Atho promptly opening the scoring through Alex Vineall and two goals in as many minutes from Jevon Fraser wrapped up the points towards the end of the game.
There were no surprises as top played bottom with leaders Gornal Athletic easing to a 6-0 victory over visitors Holwell Sports. Goals from Joel Westwood, Traevey Wright, Mitch Botfield and Jake Short gave the home side a healthy half-time lead and they added two more after the break through Wright and Reagan Wardle.
Second-placed Northfield Town were 4-0 winners at Anstey Town where Romano Graham bagged a double to add to efforts from Josh Westwood and Reis Sanusi.
It was also 4-0 as Boldmere Rangers won at Kirby Muxloe with Lucas Edwards scoring twice to add to an own goal and a Kaheim Richards effort while Heather St John’s also won on the road, beating GNG Oadby Town 2-0 courtesy of a Kyle Jardine brace.
Two goals from Jobee Mills and one from Callum North steered Cradley Town to a 3-0 victory at home to AFC North Kilworth and Leicester St Andrews also had a two-goal hero in Zak Adams as they won 4-2 at Bustleholme. Andy Melville and Tom Hill were also on the scoresheet while Lewis Smith netted both for the hosts.
Coalville Town climbed into the top five following their 4-1 defeat of Stapenhill, a result that maintained their perfect home record. Brad Walsh gave the visitors the lead on the half-hour with a Cade Chadwick own goal cancelling this out right on half-time. Goals from Farah Abdi, Alex Lock and MJ Semahimbo secured the points for the Ravens.
It finished 2-2 between Coventry Copsewood and Saffron Dynamo – an own goal and a Kejie Adeniyi effort for the hosts and Deano Roberts and Emeka Okafor for Dynamo – while goals from Josh Bond and Jasper Clarke gave Ingles a 2-1 win at home to Chelmsley Town who responded through Ross Clarke.
Birmingham OJM were 2-1 winners at FCV Grace Dieu. Jerrell Sellers bagged a late consolation after Chris Uwabor and Md Shimul had scored for the visitors with all the goals coming in a frantic finale.
