ELEVEN Capelli Sport MFL clubs maintained Wembley dreams by claiming places in round one of the FA Vase.
Lye Town got the ball rolling on Friday by edging past Division One Birmingham OJM 4-1 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
The Flyers led within the opening 50 seconds, Jack Till playing into Luke Sidaway who nudged to his right for the rapid Alfie Didlock to rasp high inside the near post.
However, Lye failed to build on that strong start and a clearance to the edge of the box was unerringly lashed high inside the near post by left-back Dan O’Sullivan with 17 minutes on the clock.
Lye edged the second half and had a couple of scrambled chances but it went to penalties with keeper Gael Mfuamba flying to his right to beat away OJM’s first from James Ahmed before O’Sullivan hit the bar with their third.
Elliott Ball, Callum McKenna and Tyler Smith had done the business from 12 yards with Till making it four from four for Lye, lashing high to the right to confirm his side’s progress.

Anstey Town held on for a thrilling 4-3 win over Division One rivals Coalville Town.
Defender Scott McManus, whose Wembley goal won the FA Trophy for FC Halifax Town in 2016, put the Ravens in front but Micah Lawrence and Logan Aston (2) turned it around with Szym Donnerstag adding Anstey’s fourth with 20 minutes left.
Coalville fought back through Luis Parry’s own goal with a minute to go and Farah Abdi’s added-time effort.
