Darlaston Town enjoyed a new-manager bounce as midweek appointment Matty Lovatt marked his return to the Capelli Sport MFL with a 2-0 win over Romulus.
The ex-Dudley Town gaffer watched Jordan Spragg’s first-half penalty and a late effort from Ollie Jeeves end Darlo’s nine-match wait for a league win to establish a three-point cushion over the relegation zone.
Adam O’Mara kept Winsford United top of the Premier Division with the added-time decider in a 2-1 comeback win over West Didsbury & Chorlton.
The visitors led through Sam Dickov 10 minutes in but Steve Jenyons levelled it nine minutes into the second half with O’Mara slotting in United’s winner late in the day.
It proved crucial as nearest rivals Runcorn Town bagged a sixth straight league win with a 3-0 victory at Stockport Georgians, Emmanuel Sholabi, Connor Spiers and Luke Nicholls getting the goals.
Ryan Snape twice levelled – the second time in added time – as Dudley Town made it 10 league matches without defeat with a 2-2 draw at Wythenshawe Town.
Sam Muyengwa notched after 15 minutes with Snape equalising before the half-hour mark. Kris Smith must have thought he had won it with six minutes left only for Snape to step in again a minute past the 90.

Gornal Athletic moved four points clear at the top of Division One with a 4-0 win at Birmingham OJM, Mitch Botfield, Traevay Wright, Brad Maslen-Jones and Taylor Homer on target.
The Peacocks benefited from nearest challengers Heather St John’s letting slip a two-goal lead in a 3-2 defeat at Saffron Dynamo.
Kyle Hayden and Matt Hunt put the Saints in command but the tide turned early in the second half through Jayden Haines with Jack Coles and Bruno Capela completing a turnaround that ended Heather’s 15-match unbeaten run.
Leicester St Andrew’s made it 10 league victories out of 11 – it was Saffron who won there two-and-a-half weeks ago – with a 6-0 demolition of Stapenhill, Tom Harris (2), Sam Hollis, James Snedden, Logan Aston and Corey Bucalossi doing the damage.
Coalville Town maintained a top-five berth with a 3-0 win over Bustleholme, Zac Smithson and George Hockey netting either side of an own goal with the Ravens now unbeaten in five league outings.
Ingles took three points home from the Black Country, winning 3-1 at Cradley Town.
Ryan Charles netted after 10 minutes and although Jobee Mills levelled, Charlie Yates soon restored the advantage with Lee Cranston making sure of the points just past the hour.
Eslam Faied and Alfie Smith were on target as Coventry Copsewood won 2-0 at Holwell Sports, while Karum Shankar, Ali Ashkir, Tom Vyce and Solomon Agyeman scored in GNG Oadby Town’s 4-1 win over Chelmsley Town. Ethan Richardson got the consolation from the penalty spot.
